Public and School Murals 2005-2010 > Library Mural

The principal and teachers at Pulaski Fine Arts Academy loved my 2005 lunchroom makeover so much that the following summer, they brought me back to repaint the primary library, which serves 1st to 3rd graders during the year. Working with the school librarian, we chose to the popular story "Jack and the Beanstalk" as the mural's theme. I designed the illustration independently, capturing a snapshot of the pivotal moment in the story where Jack sees the beanstalk for the very first time. In July, a group of 5th graders came to school to help paint the mural, over the course of six hard-working sessions.
